Terrorism trial
In the first case of its type in the South West region, David Campbell represented Isa/Andrew Ibrahim, who was charged and tried for offences under the Terrorism Acts of 2000 and 2006. The prosecution alleged that Mr Ibrahim was planning to set off an explosion in the Galleries Shopping Centre, Bristol. The case presented huge challenges of complexity and logistics, involving hundreds of hours of careful preparation. Mr Ibrahim's family commented afterwards: "he was very fortunate to have such a prominent and capable solicitor represent him and we could not have wished for a more dedicated and professional team.....a heroic battle was fought in defending Isa and you did it with panache and grace. We shall be eternally grateful for your help."
