Offences of Violence

At Sansbury Campbell we have very extensive experience of defending people charged with the whole range of violent offences.

In recent years we have defended over 30 people who have been arrested and/or charged in relation to murder allegations. On many other occasions, we have represented clients in relation to allegations of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm etc which have involved shootings, stabbings, and other forms of violence infliction.

We have the backup of a large bank of expert witnesses who can be relied upon to deliver credible forensic results.

Sexual Offences

The defending of people charged and accused of sexual offences becomes ever more complex, with the development of video taped interviews, the Sex Offenders Act, and a number of large-scale enquiries which have been held into sexual abuse at former childrens' homes and schools.

At Sansbury Campbell we have considerable experience of the whole range of sexual offences. We have advised several clients who have found themselves either under investigation or being prosecuted as a result of allegations made from local authority institutions. We have experience of advising with regard to Internet pornography. In addition, of course, we very frequently defend people who are accused of sexual offences such as indecent assault and rape.

We have a large bank of expert evidence which can be relied upon to deliver credible forensic results.

Financial Offences

Whilst many financial offences will fall under the auspices of our section on fraud a great many do not.

We have defended in a large number of complex financial offences, some involving conspiracy, many involving large sums of money and high value property.

Drugs Offences

Allegations involving large-scale supply and importation of controlled drugs carry very heavy penalties indeed for those who are convicted. At Sansbury Campbell we have particular experience in defending such allegations.

The use of covert surveillance techniques has increased dramatically in recent years and has greatly added to the complexity of such prosecutions. Specialist defence skills are needed to demonstrate and examine wherever possible the use of covert surveillance, informant evidence, etc etc.

In addition it is essential to be able actively to defend the linked Confiscation proceedings which almost inevitably flow from a successful proecution; we have considerable experience in this area.

See our index of cases conducted for examples. We have successfully defended those accused of serious drug offences in the past.
